Editorial policy
Every answer tells you where it comes from: the maker's own page, quoted, with the date we opened it. Corrections are logged in public. Drafting is AI-assisted and facts are checked by a person before publish. We do not accept payment for coverage.
How answers are labelled
An answer is shown only with a state and a date, set out in how we verify:
- Verified. The maker's own page was opened and the quoted words appear on it.
- Maker states. The maker says it, but not in our wording. Shown without a tick.
- Under review. The maker's pages disagree, or a credible correction is open.
- Not verified. Not shown as an answer.
Verification is not physical testing, and we say so on every printer page.
Corrections
If we have a fact wrong, especially a compatibility fact, report it or email hello@replacementhq.co.uk with the page and the error. Credible reports are logged in the public corrections log, the affected answer is held (any seller link removed) until it is resolved, and material corrections are noted with a dated update rather than silently rewritten.
AI assistance, honestly
We use AI tools to assist with drafting and structuring pages. We think you deserve to know that, so here is the exact boundary: AI helps write sentences, it does not decide facts. Compatibility claims, measurements, prices and recommendations are meant to be checked by a person before publish, against our own recorded results or the published source. If a fact cannot be checked, it should not go on the page.
Independence
- No paid placements or sponsored content. We do not accept payment for coverage.
- No manufacturer samples are accepted.
- Affiliate income is not a ranking input. See the affiliate disclosure.
- Negatives are published. Where nothing is worth buying, we say so.
Keeping pages current
Replacement parts churn: products get reformulated, discontinued and revised. Every substantive page carries a visible dated "last updated" line, and data pages note when values were last verified. We aim to re-check pages on a rolling cadence, with compatibility data first, and a credible reader correction triggers a re-check of the affected page.
Who is accountable
Content is written by Adam Parker and published by Muswell Rose Consulting Ltd. The standards on this page apply to every aisle we build.
