ReplacementHQ/Accessibility
Accessibility statement
We aim for WCAG 2.2 Level AA on every page of ReplacementHQ. We have not had an independent audit yet, so we do not claim conformance. If something is hard to use, email hello@replacementhq.co.uk and we will fix it.
The standard
The target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. We do not claim Level AAA. This statement describes what exists on this site today.
What is in place
- A "Skip to main content" link is the first thing a keyboard or screen reader user reaches on every page.
- An "Accessibility" link sits in the header of every page, and in the footer with "Site index" and "Trust centre".
- Pages use headings in order, one main landmark, and a visible focus outline on links, buttons and form fields.
- Forms have a visible label for every field, and messages about the result are announced as status text.
- Tables have header cells marked as headers; compatibility results do not rely on colour alone (each carries a word as well as any colour).
- The layout adapts to small screens and to browser zoom. Animation is switched off if your system asks for reduced motion.
- The site follows your device's light or dark setting.
Colours and text size
We do not add our own colour or text-size controls. Use your browser's zoom, or your device's contrast and colour filters, which work on every site.
Known gaps
- Our automated contrast check blocks text below 3:1, but some small text is still below the 4.5:1 AA level. We are fixing these before release.
- The site has not been audited by an independent accessibility specialist or checked with a range of assistive technologies.
- Some linked documents and manufacturer pages we cite are outside our control.
Tell us about a problem
